1. Evernote

Evernote is a free mobile application that allows you to do voice recording, manage tasks, take photos and store documents. It can accomplish these tasks independently or tie all elements to one topic or note. This application is great for students that need to store all their research on a topic in one ‘note’ or one ‘tag’. If you read something relevant to your topic, you can write a note. If you need to collect photos on your subject matter, Evernote will let you take photos directly on it! Amazing! It is available on all platforms!

 

2.      Stanza

Stanza is a free mobile application available on iPhone, iPod, iPad and Desktop.  If you are not a big fan of reading, you will love Stanza! The application allows students to keep up with classroom reading assignments! All books whose copywriters have expired are available for free to users of Stanza. This is great for English and writing courses where students read classics. Instead of buying the book, you can read it on Stanza.

 

3.      Dictionary.Com

This dictionary application is great!  You can check your spelling on words on the go! Dictionary.com application will offer word suggestions based on what you are typing! This is very useful when you do not know how to spell a word. If your fingers are tried of typing, Dictionary.com lets you do a voice search as well! It is available on all platforms for free!

 

4.      Penultimate

The Penultimate application is available on iPad. The application allows students to write notes with their fingertips to their iPads! The application also lets students jot down notes in multiple color selections. This is a great application to use hand in hand with your Evernote application because Evernote can store all the notes you write with Penultimate!
