3 Ways To Get Your Outlook To Properly Work

Are you having issues getting your Outlook to work properly? If yes, we are here to help you resolve the problem by providing you tips on how to get your Outlook to properly work. Read below to get started.

3 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Tackling the Problem

Before you start to troubleshoot your Outlook problem, you need to ask yourself the following questions:

 ØIs Outlook up-to-date?

ØDid your Outlook work ever?

ØDoes Outlook still work for other users on your computer system?

Why Your Outlook should be Up-To-Date

Make sure that you have installed all updates for your version of Outlook. Your version of Outlook should be compatible with your computer system. For example, if you have compatible issues with Windows 7, you should install their latest service packs.

Solution: You can use Microsoft Update to install the latest updates for Windows and Office. Your Microsoft Update needs to be configured to check for Office updates.

Make Sure Your Outlook was Working Beforehand

Think back to when your outlook was working correctly. If it never worked correctly, you may not have it configured the mal account appropriately. You may be using a POP3, IMAP, Live Hotmail account but you picked that you are using an Exchange account.

Solution: You can recreate your mail profile by using Mail Applet in your Control Panel. You have to use the correct server settings that your IS or corporate email administrator provides you.

Outlook is Working for Everyone but You

Are you the only one that uses Outlook on your computer system? If you are not the only one that uses Outlook, ask another user to login to his or her Outlook. If the other user’s account works, there is an individual issue going on with your mailing account.

Solution: If all users can not start Outlook, then the issue would be a faulty add-in or a completely damaged Outlook/Office Installation.
