Small Business Owners, the COVID-19 crisis is hitting many of us very hard. While some are forced to furlough employees for unknown amounts of time, and others are running on skeleton crew, reduced hours plans, or work from home solutions, few are running as normal. However, there are some options available that can and will literally save businesses from permanent closure.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RESOURCES

USA.gov has provided an collection of general resources related to COVID-19 information, assistance, and other useful information.

Benefits.gov Help Center provides a broad overview of business, healthcare, unemployment, and other informational resources.

The Payroll Protection Program (PPP) from the Small Business Administration is a loan program designed to keep employees on your payroll. With certain requirements, the loan can be forgiven.

Small Business Guide and Resources from the U.S. Small Business Administration provides a collection of links and information regarding a variety of resources available to varying businesses.

U.S. Department of Labor Coronavirus Resources provides information regarding labor/workplace safety, unemployment insurance, and common labor issues resulting from COVID-19.

Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Coronavirus Partner Toolkit contains useful information for businesses dealing in or with healthcare.

MARYLAND STATE GOV’T RESOURCES

Maryland Small Business Development Centers Helpful Resources for Small Business Owners provides a variety of links to various tools, programs, and information, such as PPP Lender locators, the MD Emergency Relief Grant Fund, and other funding options.

 Maryland Chamber of Commerce COVID-19 Education and Prevention Resource Links provide information on various grants, funding, and interpretive guidance.

The City of Annapolis has assembled a very concise collection of links that include local as well as state and national resources.

 

PENNSYLVANIA STATE GOV’T RESOURCES

PA Chamber of Business and Industry Business Resources for Coronavirus includes links to a robust variety of national and state programs and information.

The official PA Commonwealth COVID-19 response includes several useful links to financial resources for individuals and businesses.

Penn State Small Business Development Center COVID-19 Resources provides information regarding legislative and financial topics. Of note are links to a webinar series regarding dealing with aspects of the COVID-19 crisis as they relate to businesses.

Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development COVID-19 Working Capital Access Program (CWCA) provides access to capital for PA small businesses adversely affected by COVID-19.
